In the field of Hand Suction Pads the top Corcos product is the Auto windshield installation kit, a professional set of elements and tools for manoeuvring and moving automobile windshields during the delicate removal operations in the automobile shop industry.
The boxed kit includes several articles: the double suction cup, in two pieces which is a bridge system with 2 rubber suction cups for moving the windshields/windows of automobiles, vans and trucks and a 100% polyester high resistance belt fitted with a steel jack type system (the belt is 4 meters long and 25 mm wide).
This Hand Suction Pad kit is used to move and position automobile windows. First a special glue is applied to the edges of the glass. The suction cups are positioned on the windshield, placing them laterally at about midway in terms of the windshield height. If the glass panels are convex, it is recommended they be positioned on the convex part, half-way up. At this point the glass can be placed in the correct position and then pass the belt into the special slots in the suction cups and connect them to the windshield uprights. Adjust the movement of the jack function to properly tension the belt for perfect adherence of the glass. Then allow the necessary period of time to elapse for the glue to settle.
The maximum capacity of each suction cup is a load of 20 kg. It is not advisable to move weights exceeding the recommended load capacity, and it is also advisable to not move the loads for an excessive period of time and to not maintain the loads suspended. Avoid standing under suspended loads and take all of the normal precautionary measures for moving and placing glass and car windows.
